Vana is an archaeological scientist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Munich and is passionate about outreach. She has been working with schools for more than 10 years and coordinating Archaeosnack since 2020, and she believes that studying the past can help us live better today.
Alice Rose
Treasurer

Alice is a bioarchaeologist and a postdoctoral research associate at the University of York. She has been involved with Archaeosnack since 2020.
Sam Reiter
Secretary

Sam has been co-editor of The European Archaeologist (TEA), the newsletter of the EAA since 2021. She is also co-chair and founder of StoryArch, a Community for the promotion of storytelling and alternate science communication for archaeologists. She is a graduate of the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences’ Science Communication Academy.
Julia Steding
Communications

Julia is a classical archaeologist at the Centre for Urban Network Evolutions, Aarhus University, Denmark. Her research focuses on portraiture from the Roman period. She was the project coordinator at UrbNet for an archaeology school program together with the NGO Videnskabsklubben that has been running at Danish High schools since 2024.
Mathew Stiller-Reeve
Collaborator

Mathew is a freelance writing instructor and dialogue consultant with a background in climate research. He founded the first SciSnack writing group at the University of Bergen in 2012 while pursuing his PhD and led it until 2019. He also serves as an Editor for the journal Geoscience Communication.
